A photo purportedly showing an injured Deji Adeyanju in a hospital has been shared online, and according to reports, police officers were witnesses while he was being brutalized and they did nothing.
The political activist was leading a protest in front of the National Human Rights Commission when participants carrying out a counter protest attacked him.
A Twitter user who shared photos from the hospital wrote: “Deji Adeyanju has been hospitalized, injured by participants in a counter protest in front of the National Human Rights Commission, in the presence of police men This administration WILL end one day, but only when the numbers have aligned Numbers!”
